A Night at The Opera was commissioned by Rosemary Edghill for her 2004 original anthology Murder by Magic;this presentation is Steve Miller’s April 2017 reading which was recently shared with our Patreon supporters. The challenge for us, of course, was to write a non-Liaden story at a time when we were immersed in that universe. At the time we were renting movies at a prodigious rate and fell back on several cinema sources to both title and populate this tale of an alternate London.
